My students are 95% Hispanic from a lower socioeconomic neighborhood and English is their second language. Although they face challenges at home, they are eager to learn, participate in class, and show compassion for their classmates. My school understands the challenges the students will face in the future. The principal, vice principals, and teachers work diligently to support the students and families. There are family workshops, after school programs, and a Saturday school for migrant students. The school is a close community eager to support each student for the future.
