My students come from a low-income school on the west side of Chicago. Over 95% of the students at my school qualify for free lunch. Many students in the school do not have Internet access at home and are forced to go to the library to complete any sort of research assignment.
My class is over 95% bilingual, as well as 30% of the class are diverse learners. These students have exceptional needs, as well as goals that need to be met. The students love technology and see it as a great resource to help them achieve their goals. They are motivated to meet their goals, and excited to continue learning and expanding on their reading and math skills.
