I teach in a Kindergarten - 3rd grade academic learning program. The students in my class are my little HERO's.
The range of special needs in our classroom varies, but each and every one of my students has exceptional abilities. They are some of the most brave, courageous, and inspiration human beings I have ever met. Some of them are just learning to walk, others are reading their first words, others have begun simple addition. Skills that doctors told their families they might not ever be able to develop.
A majority of my students have extensive sensory needs. For some of them it is due to Autism and for others with different diagnose the sensory tools help them remain engaged.
The sky is the limit and providing them adaptive equipment to reach their goals will help them get their even faster.
