We are in a rural Title I School. I currently have 12 students in my classroom: seven girls and five boys. They are in third grade, so most of them are eight or nine years old. All of my students come from low income, high poverty families and are currently working below grade level. Only two of my students have computer access at home. Furthermore, my students are severely technology deficient because of the lack of access. There is a current budget crisis so resources are limited in our school district. Technology is lacking in my classroom because the computers that we do have are broken or too outdated to run properly. My students are eager to learn and enjoy being at school despite our lack of proper resources. They are creative and love doing hands-on activities and I know these IPads would motivate them even more to learn.
