I want to be able to integrate a more global perspective with the lessons we are working on and technology will assist with that. Because of our high military affected population of students, they have a contagious interest in the world beyond themselves. To be able to give a more hands on approach that crosses time and geography with relation to music will make music history, instruments, and music creation more relevant and exciting for all students. Our curriculum contains many components of music creation and global music appreciation. My goal is for students to feel connected and gain a hands on application for world music and the ways music and sounds are created in our country as well as countries around the world.
About my class
