Our school is an RTI (Response to Intervention) school. One of the programs we utilize is Walk-to-Read. During this process, students switch classes and are placed in instructional groups in which all students are reading at the same level. This allows educators to teach at the pace of the students.
The students in my group are struggling readers that test at the intensive and strategic level. Within this group, the students show a desire to learn and become more motivated when presented with multiple ways of learning. A listening center would benefit this group by creating excitement for reading new materials in different ways.
