"Ms. Simmonds you look pooped. You should go to bed early today." Words like this are peppered throughout my day with my lovely students. They strive to be kind and empathetic kids who also have bright, vibrant personalities. My students are a wonderful mix of the diverse makeup found all over Boston: 81% are racial/Ethnic minorities, 67% qualify for federal school lunch programs, 40% are Special Education students and 40% speak a language other than English as their primary language at home.
Our message to our students is always "we love you, we expect your best, and we are partners in your education and success."
