My students come into my room because they are often not successful in the regular classroom. They receive extra reading and writing interventions in my classroom which is set up for students to be successful in an authentic, supportive setting.
The students receiving interventions are often highly energetic and have trouble focusing. Having the ability to move in their chairs as they read and write is a more authentic and successful reading setting.
The students will learn to read and write using fun, yet effective reading and writing strategies while having the ability to move without being a distraction to the other students.
