I believe that incorporating technology into library instruction will keep my students engaged and motivated to learn. I want to use iPads to maximize instruction and enhance my students’ love of reading in the media center. The use of iPads will facilitate my students with the ability to work with numerous educational apps to support their learning in all academic areas while fostering a love of reading. Some educational apps I'd like to use are: I-Ready, Learning.com, Reading Rainbow, Abcmouse.com, Starfall to name a few. Besides using educational apps on the iPads, my students will be able to work on research projects, experience augmented reality, participate on scavenger hunts using QR codes, have access to thousands of e-books,create flipgrids, and even make movies that showcase their learning. The educational possibilities for iPad use in the library are endless, and I'm excited to reinvent my students’ learning experience in the library using iPads!
