I have a group of 5th graders equally ratio of boys and girls. They are quite the inquisitive group that seeks a challenge. San Marcos is a Title 1 school, with 100% free and reduced lunch. Many of the families at our school have limited resources and often do not go places outside their immediate neighborhood. They do not have experiences that families normally have by fifth grade.
