My children come primarily from two housing projects. We are the very lowest socio-economic level, and have some major challenges to overcome. We have many transients - I have one beautiful and wise child who currently lives in a hotel because her single mom can't pay the light bill at their apartment despite working two jobs. We also have an amazing faculty and staff who give endlessly from their own resources. Many of my students have never been outside of their hometown, never been to a museum, rarely, if ever, get to attend to a movie or a restaurant or even a local football game. Almost none of them have access to the Internet in their homes. I have been buying pencils, paper, ink cartridges, crayons, etc., from my own resources and I just can't continue doing that. My kiddos need some help with basic supplies, and we hope that you will reach out and provide us with scissors, pencils, crayons, erasers and a electric pencil sharpener.
