We are always looking for better way to provide quality instruction and educational experiences for our students during the summer break. Some students need to continue to be engaged in learning opportunities to avoid falling behind their peers when returning to school in the Fall.
We want to SLAY, SLAY, Slay the Summer Slide with a community, reading mobile program that will have the staff of Bellevue bring books and snacks to the children. The program will be serving a fundamental need to continue students reading during the summer break. Students will be able to stop by the mobile, reading castle and check out a book to be returned the following week. We need 9 storage crates to organize and sort the books by grade level for easy access by the students. We need a megaphone to reach the masses when we visit their neighborhood. We also need an assortment of stickers, wristbands, and other incentives to pass out to every child that visit the book mobile this summer. We also would like to provide them with water on those long days. So we are request 20 cases of water to pass out to the kids and their parents.
