My students are lovely second graders. Some of my students come in with all types of backgrounds and family environments. I have students that come from a two-parent household with parental support to children with no parental support. I have children who come from households where either the mother or father is nonexistent due to death or neglect. I also have children who just came into the country and can't speak English. However, despite how the children come to us - we love and care for each child like our own. I love our school. Our school is very caring and supportive and tries to reach each child despite their background. Our school provides rigorous instruction and a family like atmosphere. Teachers stay and tutor children on the weekend and after school. Teachers often buy clothes for needy children out of their own pockets. Our school really cares for kids.
