Gardening will be a life changing experience and on-going learning atmosphere for all of my students. It will enable them to start from ground and build a learning environment that is not only hands-on and student-centered, but gives them the opportunity to eat and enjoy all the new foods they are growing. My students not only want to learn how to garden, but are eager to grow their own favorite fruits and vegetables. They talk about showing and teaching their own families how to garden once they learn. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement and healthy eating habits.
By donating these funds, you are helping to provide real-life and hands-on experiences, giving my students new hope and educational opportunities they will never learn anywhere else.
Every student at our school will be able to experience and learn from our Garden Club Learning Garden. With so many different educational needs and learning styles at our school, children from regular to special needs classrooms will be able to participate and benefit from the experiences this garden will provide. This garden will enable us to provide hands-on, real-life experiences, and food to about 800 children.
