Students learn in many ways. The materials that I am requesting for my classroom will help me reach more students in different ways. The materials, such as the place value blocks, will provide students with kinesthetic and visual opportunity to learn. The organizational baskets will be placed on a bookshelf in the classroom, where students will have easy access to each material. The counters to help those students who struggle with addition or subtraction. The money magnets to provide students with opportunities to explore what money looks like.
Math manipulatives help students develop a conceptual understanding of mathematical concepts. As students work with math manipulatives they begin to discover that there is more than one way to solve a problem. They begin to develop as problem solvers and to think critically. I appreciate your generosity to help our future leaders!
