Flexible seating allows students to have choice in their work space. Currently my students have the following work spaces around the room: wobble chairs, counter high stools, clipboards and lap desks. When students are comfortable, their work is more consistently completed and I've noticed a willingness to try at that students are trying to work that is difficult. The floor cushions and bean bags will allow for additional comfortable seating options that use the floor space.
By creating numerous options for work time space students have more choice in where they sit, who they work with and how they get work complete. The possibilities are endless for creating a space the motivates students to complete work!
