My students have hope, curiosity, innocence, belief, and faith. They are the reason why I walk into school with a smile on my face. They are sponges, waiting to absorb every last drop of others' knowledge. They are amazing, and they are all mine. Many enter our school hungry, tired, dirty, ignored, and neglected. Yet there they are, ready to give me their all, ready to make me proud. And they do. Everyday. Our district supplied us with new science textbooks a few years back, but neglected to buy any of the accompanying materials that went along with them, such as assessments and materials.
