Everyday I come to school to see wide-eyed, "ready to soak in everything English", eager English language learners. I am inspired by their individual stories and their openness to learn.
Daily, my students work together whole class, in small groups and individually listening to stories, reading simple text, learning the complex written system of English and trying to piece words together for oral communication. The donations requested will allow my students to embark on their journey with some needed supplies and a way to stay organized. Moreover, they will certainly benefit from the use of a flip-chart in small group while listening, reading and writing from the TIME magazine subscription.
