As a resource teacher at a school for teenage moms and pregnant teens, I see a lot of girls who struggle to find self worth. I want to help these girls by giving them the gift of learning to knit for their babies and for others. As our society focuses on technology, I want my girls to focus on a loom and use this time to unwind from being a busy teenage mom.
These moms, (and soon to be moms) are motivated enough to make it school after many sleepless nights with a newborn. I want to give them a creative gift they will have for a lifetime. A gift they can share with others.
