This kitchen will provide my students with increased opportunity for imaginative play and helps them improve their social skills, such as sharing and turn taking. The children are learning to imitate real events and activities as they play and interact with each other.
For preschool students, play is at the center of their work.
This new kitchen will be a focal point in one of our activity centers and will give the children hours of enjoyment as they learn. The children will imitate cooking for each other and eating. This will allow them to practice labeling, social skills, and manners.
