Our school is located in a blue collar community with students of many backgrounds and experiences. Over the past two years our school has gone through a renaissance where students, teachers, parents, and administration are working together to build the best high school in our district. Overall students have a higher respect for each other, are more prideful of their school, and are steadily improving academically.
Like most teenagers our students love using social media in any way possible. Unfortunately experience in social media does not always translate to knowing how to use technology for education. Many of our students lack access to reliable computers and Internet, some try to type assignments in the body of an email, and many have little experience using word processing and spreadsheet programs.
