By having a colored printer in our classroom, we will be able to readily print colored pictures for the students' individual communication notebooks. The point of having easy access to a colored printer is that as the students improve in their repertoire of using pictures to exchange for desired or needed items, the teacher can add to the communication notebook immediately so that the students can have the picture cards that they need in their communication notebooks. Our student with visual impairments needs to see his pictures in color to help him determine what he is looking at. The color facilitates learning for him.
