I have 23 students in my class with the youngest who started at 4 and the oldest turned 7. They are a very lively bunch who have very active hands, which is why we need a larger classroom rug, so they have room to spread out and have their own personal space. They are full of energy, but also come to school with an eagerness to learn and a huge smile every day. They have such kind and caring hearts and I am given many hugs daily! Our school is in a rural area and is very small, which is a good thing because most of the staff know all of the students on a first name basis. We are also a very low economic status school with many families who are struggling to get by. Because of this our school does all that they can to help these families the best we can.
