My students are diverse in socioeconomic status, ethnicity, religion, and interests. I teach a variety of class levels ranging from special education inclusion to honors/gifted. My high school is Title I targeted, which means a large chunk of our budget is reserved for serving students who require free and reduced lunch due to their socioeconomic status. As a result, the library's budget had dwindled significantly. While the school is diverse, my students share an earnest interest in knowledge and reading. I would love to find another way to put an interesting book in their hands, despite the budget cuts.
