I teach my students in the Read 180 program that helps students become better readers and writers in a smaller group setting than the regular classroom. Our school is considered Urban and we have a majority of students who are on free and reduced lunch. We have many students who are transient, and many who are in low income homes. My students want to learn, and are becoming more confident about reading and writing. I feel like I am making a difference, and I feel lucky to have this effect on my students.
