My students are five years old and some just turning six. My students are excited for school because, for most of them, this is their first time in school. They are proud of themselves and for the things they accomplished every day. They feel more grown ups every day because they can write their names, they write some letters, because they can count to 50 and because they can read new words. They like to come to school and they love to learn new things. My students are fun and creative and have a big imagination.
Our school Mission is: "... students are accepted, appreciated, nurtured and challenged to reach their full potential. We maintain high expectations and promote academic and behavioral success for all students. Through education, students at [our school] will gain the necessary skills, strategies, confidence, and motivation to be successful in life."
