Just like snowflakes, each child is unique. They represent different backgrounds and cultures. They all are the same in that they come to our room expecting to learn and do hard things. They preserve through their home life obstacles to become the best that they can be!
Because they come from homes where parents work full time and older siblings raise them, they come to school for free breakfast before the bell rings. Hungry tummies are filled and they are ready to begin the challenge of putting their home life struggles to the side & embrace their love of learning.
Our school serves an underprivileged community, but if these walls could talk, they would tell stories of love, laughter, smiles, tears, heartache and joy in the hardships. We work together as a staff to bring a family community to our students.
