I teach Pre-K at an inner city school that is in priority status with the state. I have 20 four and five year olds in my class. My students face many obstacles on a daily basis. They all come from low-income homes, many of which are single parent households. I have a high number of refugees that are learning English as their second language. Yet, despite all these obstacles my students come to school with smiles on their faces eager to learn!
