My students are in grades K-2nd and are moderately to severely handicapped. I have students who have been diagnosed with autism, students who are non-verbal, and students who have cerebral palsy and are confined to a wheelchair. My students are smart and funny and love to have fun. They enjoy dancing and listening to music and they are a joy to be around. Unfortunately the special education program at the school district in which I currently work for is not very supportive in making sure that the children have the materials they need to ensure that they are successful students.
