I have some students that did not go to preschool so kindergarten is their first experience. They are eager to learn but I see frustrations in the students as I prepare them for first grade. My school is a pre-K to eighth grade school that has various programs after school to help and encourage the students. These programs help students that may not have a parent at home to go over homework, or a safe place to be until their parent gets off of work to pick them up.
