Hi! I am a 7th & 8th grade reading teacher in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District. I am so proud to teach in the district that I went to as a student and where my four children have attended! The students I teach come from very diverse backgrounds and have a wide range of abilities and interest levels when it comes to reading. So many of my students tell me that they never have even finished a whole book!? Naturally, I want to light the fire that converts them into readers for LIFE. Since they have such varied interests, I hope to gather an assortment of books that will meet their needs as well as spark their creativity. I hope to have enough books on hand that even when each child has "borrowed" a book to read at home, there is still a variety to choose from in the classroom. I truly believe literacy unlocks doors for fabulous futures - don't you?
