I'm always looking for new books and new ideas to get my students excited about reading. I want my students to see how passionate I am about reading and the importance of showing them just how fun reading a good book can be.
I want them to experience one of the page turner kind of books that you can't put down until you have read the whole thing in one night. I want to develop a love of reading in all of my classes and I think it's important to always have a variety of books from all genres to choose from.
I want my students to have the freedom to choose their own book that fits their style and share their common interests and with middle school students sometimes that is a very challenging task.
I'm hoping that these new books will help motivate my students and get them to want to read a good book and become very excited and want to share with me what they are reading. Developing those relationships with your students are so important and being able to sit and talk about a book with a student makes my heart very happy. If I can make a difference in a child's life through the love of reading then challenge accepted.
