With this project, my students will learn that even when your life has been disrupted by a pandemic you can still excel. They will learn to grow their own food without ever having to go outside. They will learn to be responsible and will be able to take great pride in their success as well as have a healthy meal by taking advantage of the vegetables that they will grow.
Gardening can teach children to have patience. It can also give children confidence and teach them about commitment. Gardening can give children a sense of purpose and responsibility. Gardening also gives children a chance to wonder about things, opening the door to an endless number of classroom discussions.
