Hello there. I currently teach Middle School Special Education (Modified Reading, Writing, and Math). All of my students are at different learning levels. Some are doing long division while others are just learning their multiplication classes. When it comes to reading, some are two or three grade levels behind the current grade they are in. These students work hard in order to get good grades and be successful. Some understand that they are in a "Special Education" course, but that does not stop them from trying their best. They are always encouraged to put forth the effort because they can see how successful they can be in the end! Seeing them at least make an attempt on an unknown word or math problem is rewarding. Some may get discouraged, but they always find a way to overcome an obstacle.
