We have 21 students in my PreK room - boys and girls aged 4 to 5 years old. All are very enthusiastic about school and love learning! Our school serves students PreK through 8th grade and is located in a neighborhood in the heart of the city. Many of our families are low income.
During our full-day PreK my students experience a variety of learning experiences in Literacy, Math, Social Studies and Science along with Social and Emotional Development, Fine Arts and Motor Development.
Learning is never boring in my room! We share much love and laughter and fun ways to learn! We practice writing letters in shaving cream! We learn how to listen for rhyming words by singing and dancing to silly tunes! We fine tune our math skills by counting and sorting holiday candy! We practice getting along with others during choice time activities! This is my 18th year teaching and I continue to enjoy creating exciting and memorable learning activities for my class!
