Each year, I encounter a new group of students. The group that I have now never cease to amaze me! I have 3 groups of about 28 students in each class. They come in every morning with a can-do attitude and always put a smile on my face. I constantly find new books that they want me to read on my desk in the morning or students gathered around to sign up for my book clubs at lunch. Their love for learning is contagious! While I am still working on some of them to love reading, they never complain and always let me suggest new books to them with a smile on their face!
Our school is so supportive, however I find myself spending $100-$200 a month on new books for book clubs or for students if they request one. I have a hard time telling a student no if they want to dive into a new book. Plus, I always want it to be their choice.
