We are a school focused on AVID. With that in mind, we are always searching for quality, high-interest text for kids. If students are able to have their own copy, they will be able to interact with the material to improve reading comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and overall knowledge-base. Students will be able to annotate, collaborate, write, and question while reading meaningful text. Storyworks is a monthly magazine that is published by Scholastic. The kids will work through this magazine in one of their afternoon rotations so they get an additional reading lesson to supplement their reading curriculum and interventions.

About my class
