Most of these students are from homes where Spanish is the native language. Our school is over 90% free and reduced lunch. Having a book shelf full of magical stories is not an option for most of our families. We want to build home libraries to help support the home/school connection and emphasize the importance of reading. These students LOVE reading time at school. Their excitement is contagious!
