Since returning to face to face learning, it has become apparent that during Covid distance learning, students spent way too much time on screens and not enough time creating things with their hands or interacting with each other. Since returning I am designing lessons that allow students to both design and interact. Through this button design, construction and exchange project, students will follow the design process incorporating the elements and principles of design, using the industry standard software- but taking it beyond the computer and into a physical form. Students will also have the opportunity to share their design through a classroom exchange which allows for interaction and sharing of their unique designs, experience and ideas.
