I teach an amazing group of fifth grade students. I teach a co-teaching class which means that some of my students are special needs students. Actually, this year more than half of my class are special needs. Research shows that being able to move around while working improves students' work. I have done a lot of research and I am willing to transform my classroom. I plan to allow all of my students to sit on stability balls if they choose. Students will be able to calmly bounce while working on their work. I cannot wait to see how this helps my ADHD students and others who are overwhelmed by sitting still for an extended period of time. I greatly appreciate any support you are able to extend in helping me transform my classroom.
