My students are smart, curious, and creative learners. They inspire me with their questions and insights. They all are children of immigrants, and each have their own social and economical issues. The school I teach at is second home for them. Bahia Vista Elementary is a Title 1 school. Our motto is: "the jewel of the canal". These students of mine are each a precious jewel, needing polishing to shine brightly.
