In theatre everything begins with hands on experience. All the items in this list will benefit the students with the materials to get started and how to plan out their creative projects.
My job allows the students to bring back their creativity and be unique, after all, in the future job industry you need to stand out. Students begin to get told how to do things an exact way once they get to school. In theatre they get to get messy, be unique, be hands on and have fun while learning.
The colored pencils will be used for their design sketches, storage for housing all of their supplies, and the sewing machines for my costumers to learn the basics of sewing. Finally the iPad will be used for students to draft and plan out their projects. They will learn how to create concepts from simply listening to music or reading a play. How to create costumes or simply fix a ripped pair of jeans. The biggest thing is when they problem solve on how to make their ideas come to reality.
