"Sorry about the laughter, chaos, and/ or mess but we are learning here". This is the sign that hangs on the door of my classroom and is very fitting for the science lab that is room 222. A room that sometimes you can hear down the hall, not because they are rowdy or do not listen to me or the paraprofessional in the class. But simply because they are having fun learning science.
Each day I am reminded of the funny and inquisitive students that I get to be around. They get their work done not just to do it, or because they have to...but because they like to learn about science (though they would never say it). Not only does this happen, but its done with a smile and some laughter. Those are my students. Those are the quirky middle school students that I get to hang out with and teach every day. They are hard working and determined to have their voices heard in some way. They are yearning to have an adult listen to their reasons or simply their thoughts. Room 222 is full of thinkers!
