Most of my students have underdeveloped gross and fine motor skills. Many students spend most of their time in front of electronics and screens and less time moving and developing those skills. This is why I need your help. Through instructional play, students will develop gross and fine motor skills which are precursors to letter and number formation. Students will use basketballs kick balls, and soccer balls to pass, kick, and dribble to develop gross motor skills. Students who are ready will use the swerve ball, junk ball, and washer toss to further develop their motor skills and develop hand eye coordination. They will also develop a sense of self confidence and accomplishment that they can carry with them throughout their elementary school experience. I will use the items I have selected in whole and small group settings to give students the opportunity to develop these skills in a structured, fun and engaging manner.
