My classroom is an Autistic Support classroom consisting of 10 students and 3 adult support staff. My students are in grades 3rd thru 5th grade. I have many learning styles and personalities in my room that constantly keep me on my toes. One of my students is non-verbal and requires a talking device and a one to one adult. The other students are high functioning, but may struggle with retention and managing their behaviors.I am always thinking of new ways to keep their interests such as finding online games that incorporate math and reading skills, making up games such as spin the wheel or jeopardy, or creating opportunities for them to work with a partner to complete a science experiment or a research project. I love finding different tools and resources on donors choose to add into my classroom to make their school experience more fun.
