The Walk Two Moons Project inspires students to learn about national parks, cities, monuments, landforms, and Native American treasures in 13 states. This book chronicles the trip a young lady and her grandparents take to bring the girl's mother home from Idaho to Ohio.
This project enables students to "visit" places they would never otherwise be able to see. Students can't believe how many interesting settings they learn about. It has motivated students to share the book with classmates in middle school and their teachers. It has enabled my students to learn about the treasures our country's geography offers and the beauty of the United States.
