We do a variety of learning/moving stations in physical education. This helps the students, move, share, and work together. My gym walls are magnetic. These magnets will be a station as students move throughout the gym. These magnets will correlate with curriculum as students learn about shapes, colors, animals, letters, their community, and book characters. I will be able to let them have creative time while perfecting fine motor skills, and also moving with a purpose while sorting magnets by colors, shapes or letter sounds. Another great aspect of these magnets is the convenience of wiping them clean between station groups and classes to help prevent the spread of germs while allowing students to continue playing and learning. A large majority of our students are below the poverty level. Having bright, fun equipment to play with, always makes them smile.
