My students will use the iPads to enhance their daily learning. Having these iPads in the classroom would have a huge impact on student growth. The tablets will be used in numerous ways. First, students will use them during differentiated, center time. During this time students will use educational apps to increase individual and peer learning. They will be working on sight word fluency, phonics, spelling, reading comprehension, addition and subtraction fluency, calendar, telling time, and place value all of which are supported by our State Standards.
The iPads will also be a great addition to assist with expanding our science and social studies curriculum. For example, we will use them to complete numerous research projects throughout the school year. Students work together to research different aspects of our magnet curriculum, for example to learn about the vast continent of Africa.
iPads in the classroom will have a huge impact on student achievement in all subject areas. They look forward to the engaging AND educational games they can play independently or with peers. Students who are motivated will take the most away from their learning.
