Welcome to my amazing kindergarten classroom! Our school offers two kindergarten programs, a full day option where parents can pay and my half day options, which is offered for free.
My school is a 'Title 1' school where many of our students live daily in poverty. School gives them advantages that they might not otherwise have. 75% or more of my students will come to kindergarten not being able to write their names, know their colors or shapes and many not even their last names. This is their first exposure to any type of learning at all.
Because of some of our students having an all day option, I need to work twice as hard in half the time to teach my students everything that they need to be prepared for first grade.
