Students and families choose to attend our independent study school because of its reputation to provide an individualized learning experience and a positive school culture. Most of our students do not fit in at a daily attending school because of anxiety, depression, bullying, and other social emotional issues that so many of our youth experience. Teachers at our school are constantly providing classes, interventions, and supports for the unique needs of our students. This year myself and another staff member started an after school exercise club to teach and encourage a healthy lifestyle. We volunteer our time to take 6th-12th grade students out in the community to walk, jog, run, and just have fun at local parks and trails.
